I've met the woman of my dreams.
I am happy to announce to you that as of today, I am canceling my membership on Interracial Singles because I have met a wonderful woman through using this service. I've only been a member of Interracial Singles for about one month, but in that short amount of time, to my surprise, I've met the woman of my dreams. She is beautiful, intelligent, charming, and sweet. When I talk to her on the phone or see her in person, she always makes me feel special and smart. What excites me the most is that she highly values biblical ethics, as do I. She's the first woman I've met in a long time who encourages me and admires me because of my Christian faith. Her most attractive quality is her heart of gold. Though she is quite beautiful physically, her tender heart of gold makes her beautiful to such an extent that I cannot find the words to describe it. Her sweet spirit emanated from every email and card that she sent me. She soon initiated verbal communication by sending me her phone number in an email. When I called her, I heard the voice of an angel say “Hello”. She has the sweetest sounding voice I've ever heard. I was pleased and amazed at how forthright and honest she was about sharing her life with me. She challenged me to examine myself and my intentions. I quickly realized that if I wanted to make a sincere go of it with her, that I'd have to “come correct”. One of the things I was hesitant to talk about initially was my Christian faith. I feared that it might be a turn-off; it was in the past for others. When she gravitated closer to me because of my faith, I was very pleased. After overcoming that hurdle we were “off to the races”. Many nights we've talked on the phone until the wee hours of the morning. I feel like a teenager in love for the first time—again. A few days ago, I mustered the courage to tell her that I love her. She said that she loves me too! When I'm with her, time goes
by too fast. When I'm away from her, time goes by too slow. To quote R. Kelly, she is my “homie, lover, friend”. It may seem risky or strange to some of you reading this letter, that two people could fall in love so quickly, but when you know what you want and you find it, you just go for it. She and I were looking for each other. Thanks to Interracial Singles, we found each other.

A third time is a charm!!!
I have been on and off this wonderful website for the past 2 years and now I have found the man of my dreams!!! I put my profile back up in Dec 2007 and have gotten cards and smiles from different members. One day I rec'd an email from Rickd and read his letter. He was so open and honest in his email and gave me his phone # not once, but twice!!! So I called him the next day and WOW I was really impressed on how he talked and laughed. He is really caring and knows that I do have a son and we are a "package" deal. We burned up the phone lines through-out the nights and talked about our dreams and thoughts and the little things in life. One day he told me that he was coming down for Christmas. I was shocked!! I was like, are you sure you want to do that??? I don't want you to waste your hard earned money for this trip. He lives in Chicago, IL and I live in Virginia Beach, VA. He said he was sure, he wanted to meet me and see how things were going to go. I was a little bit nervous, but I met him at the airport and when I finally saw him, I have to say cupid did its work on me. It was "Love at first site". He came up to me and said hello and kissed me. He spent Christmas with me, my son and my family!!! He is making plans to transfer to my neck of the woods and we are getting married around the Valentine weekend since I am planning a trip up there to see him and meet his family. I have to say....when you aren't looking....your true love will come. Thank you Interracial Singles for bringing ladyofbanff and rickd together..I will always brag about you guys since you have helped me in finding the man of my dreams, he is the whole package deal and more...

Time and patience
Thanks to Interracial Singles I have met my soul mate. I met my match, Chris, on this site and we have been dating for two months now and moving in together soon. We are the same age, have the same goals and have so much in common. I never thought I would meet my match on a computer! Time and patience do pay off.
I have met some really great people and made so many friends here and I want to say thank you to everyone I have spoken to, you know who you are, good luck with your journey and I really do wish for you to find peace, love and happiness just like I have. My true love and my soul mate
First, I want to start by saying that I met my fiance on IS. I was skeptical at first because I thought this would be like every other dating site on the web. But I was shocked and amazed when I became a member. This was the first site I actaully paid for and it was worth every penny.
I was also in disbelief when the man of my dreams sent me a smile and his profile. I thought it was too good to be true and almost missed my opportunity. But I thought I would give it a chance and see where things went, it couldn't hurt. We started by talking on Yahoo but realized that wasn't enough for us. So we exchanged numbers and that was the start of something wonderful I never expected to find.
As soon as I heard his voice on the other end of the line I knew this man was the one for me. We talked about everything and and the conversations were deep and endless. We began talking more often and that went to every other day. At that time he was bowling 4 nights a week for a league and I knew from the beginning that that was something he was passionate about and that was a big part of his life.
One night he called me on his way to the bowling alley just to say hi and we ended up talking for hours. He missed his game because he didn't want to let me go. I knew that moment that I couldn't let this one get away; that he was genuine and cared about me the way he said he did.
That trend continued and again we started talking more frequently. There were countless nights when we would stay up all night like high school kids talking on the phone. Even the silence pauses are a way of communication for us. There have also been nights when we both fall asleep on the phone together.
When we finally decided to meet in person the plans were for me to go to St. Louis to see him. My best friend and I were going to drive there; however, fate had something else planned. We had car problems and weren't able to make the trip. So the night we were suppose to leave, Greg calls me and says "I need you to pick me up at the airport at 8pm tomorrow night. I bought a ticket and I am flying to see you". I was completely shocked. This man had never been on an airplane in his life but he was willing to fly 650 miles for me.
I must admit it was an interesting experience. The emotional rollercoaster was enough to make anyone turn and run the opposite direction. Excitement because I finally got to see this man I had been talking to for months face to face. But nervousness because of the doubts running through my mind.
All fears were erased when he arrived at the airport. I knew as soon as our eyes met this was the man I would spend the rest of my life with. We had an amazing weekend together getting to know each other even more. But all good things must come to an end and he had to get back on the plane and fly back to St. Louis. That was a hard thing for me watching him walk through the airport and away from me.
The next week was particularly hard on both of us because now we knew what we were missing when we were apart. Again I made plans to go to St Louis the next weekend to see him and that fell through once again. But this time no 'meet me at the airport'. It was going to be a lonely week-end on the phone again. Friday night I got off work and was ready for one of our all-nighters on the phone. But he was spending the evening with his friends. So I went to sleep.
The next morning I was in for a surprise. At 6am my phone rang and it was him. I imediately thought something was wrong so he starts talking to me like nothing so I knew he was ok. Then he told me that it had snowed in St Louis and wanted me to look outside and see if it had snowed here. So I get out of bed and go to my front door and he was standing on my porch. He had driven all through the night to get to me. I was in amazement. Apparently there was more to this relationship than I initally thought.
This man makes me whole and he showed me that I can be loved for who I am not what I have, not what I look like, and that he would do anything in the world for me.
And he knows that I would do the same for him.
We are now in the process of planning our wedding and the date is set for June 7th, 2008. I want to end this story by thanking IS for helping me find my true love and my soul mate. Without this site, I think it would have been completely impossible.

Not really desiring a long distance relationship, we decided to give long distance dating a try. In January 2006, I moved to North Carolina to bring our long distance relationship together. Needless to say we are very much in love each other, and the best part is how he also loves my two kids as his own.
One year later on our anniversary, he asked my kids to be his and got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.
